What’s the game about?

For the creation of this game, I took strong inspiration from The World’s Hardest Game, a popular web game from around 2010. My idea is to take that kind of gameplay and push it further — combining it with a cyberpunk art style, faster-paced and more diverse mechanics, making it more accessible and fun to all kinds of players, not just hardcore gamers.

Since this is a pre-production version of the game that I made in just a few weeks, I know it's missing many things like animations, a proper menu, save states, etc. That’s why...

I plan to release the first full chapter in two months.

Because I can only work on this project in my free time, my plan is to release the game in chapters. That way, I can share my progress with the world without having to wait too long between releases.

What will the first chapter include?

• Short cutscenes that tell the story with pixel art illustrations

• Animations for the scenes, enemies, player, and more

• A proper menu with customization options

• Save states so you don’t lose progress

• 2 more main levels

• 1 bonus level for completionists

• A new enemy from the second chapter

• Placeholder sound effects and background music

My goal is to make 5 chapters in total.

Each chapter will include new mechanics, story pieces, collectibles, and unique environments that help reveal the world of the game. I also want to tell a complete story through the gameplay.
